The Bethlehem Police Youth Scholarship Association was invited to participate in Heroes Day
at Cigars International on April 19th, 2008. Heroes Day is a salute to men and women in uniform.
There were displays of police, fire and EMS vehicles and demonstrations by Bethlehem Twp Police
Dept K-9 and the Nancy Run Fire Co. There was a chili cook off, a band and games for the kids.

The Youth Scholarship Association was the sole food and drink vendor at the event and sales were
great! With the temperature over 80 degrees, drinks were selling faster then we could chill them.
With Maio Anfiteatro and John Karb manning the grill, we sold over 100 hot dogs! Ken Jones, Jon Rice
and Donna Sacco spent most of the day serving customers and keeping things running smoothly. The
staff of Cigars International had nothing but praise for how well everything went.

Thanks to everyone who turned out to help or to grab a bite to eat and show support. We're looking
forward to seeing everyone at our motorcycle poker run on June 8th. Thanks again.
